Members of Tigard-Orenomah Lodge no. 207 have been known to frequent Masonic gatherings all over the state of Oregon, and this year is certainly no different. While the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly put a damper on most Masonic gatherings over the past two years, Tigard Masons have slowly begun to go back to the lodge’s time-honored ways of being present in the Masonic community while still strictly adhering to the safety precautions and restrictions set forth by state health officials. Here are some of the recent events that notable members of the lodge have had the pleasure–and privilege–of attending:
Malheur Cave Degree
Traditionally held every August, the Malheur Cave Degree was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic. With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in 2021, Oregon Masons from around the state converged in Malheur to confer a very special Master Mason Degree in the Malheur Cave as they have done in years past.
Pictured below are members of Tigard-Orenomah Lodge no. 207 in attendance, namely: WB Brandt Shores, WB Dan Bush, WB Josh Bush and MWB Art Bush. All are Past Masters of Tigard-Orenomah. MWB Art Bush is also a Past Grand Master of Oregon as well as sitting Worshipful Master of Robert Burns Lodge no. 97.
Grand Lodge Annual Communication 2022
This year’s Grand Lodge Annual Communication sees the fraternity’s governing body in Oregon in full form this year as it held its Annual Communication in Salem. Aside from the usual formalities and deliberations during meetings held over a two-day period, there were also merriment and laughter among the brethren present after not being able to meet for over two years.
Some of the brethren present included Tigard Past Masters pictured below: Most Excellent Companion Kevin Gladysz, Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Oregon, WB Brandt Shores, Junior Grand Deacon of the Grand Lodge for 2021-2022, MWB Art Bush, Past Grand Master, MWB Rich Martin, Past Grand Master, and WB Dan Bush, Grand Orator of the Grand Lodge for 2021-2022.
